  • 0.08 teaspoon Turmeric Powder

  • 0.33 tablespoon Oil

  • 0.33 Green Chilies, Slit
  • 0.17 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 0.17 teaspoon Coriander Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Clean and wash the goat trotters thoroughly.
  • STEP 2.In a pressure cooker, add the trotters, water, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for 5-6 whistles or until the trotters are tender.
  • STEP 3.In a separate pan, heat oil and add chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, and green chilies. Saute until the onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add the cooked trotters along with the stock to the pan. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 5.Add red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with idli, dosa, or appam.

Cooking Tips

  • You can add a teaspoon of meat tenderizer powder to the trotters to make them more tender.
  • If you prefer a thicker gravy, you can add a tablespoon of roasted gram flour mixed with water.
  • For extra flavor, you can add a teaspoon of fennel seeds while sautéing the onions.
