  • 0.13 cup Rice Flour
  • 0.13 cup Yogurt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Powder

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, rice flour, yogurt, salt, and spices. Add water gradually and mix well to form a smooth batter. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Heat a tawa or griddle and grease it with oil.
  • STEP 3.Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the tawa and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin pancake.
  • STEP 4.Cook on medium heat until the edges turn golden brown. Flip and cook the other side.
  • STEP 5.Serve hot with chutney or curry.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure the batter is of pouring consistency. Add more water if needed.
  • You can add finely chopped onions, green chilies, and coriander leaves to the batter for added flavor.
  • Cook the chakuli on medium heat to ensure even cooking and a crispy texture.
