  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 tablespoon Lemon Juice

  • 0.13 teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
  • 2.75 Leaves
  • 1/2 Onions, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Assam Tea Leaves
  • 1/4 cup Hot Water
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 Tomatoes, Chopped
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Milk
  • as needed Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Marinate the chicken pieces with turmeric powder, salt, and lemon juice for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, and curry leaves. Saute until fragrant.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and cook until golden brown. Then, add ginger-garlic paste and saute for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add marinated chicken pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.
  • STEP 5.In a separate bowl, mix Assam tea leaves with hot water and let it steep for 5 minutes. Strain the tea and add it to the chicken.
  • STEP 6.Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
  • STEP 7.Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
  • STEP 8.Finally, add coconut milk and simmer the curry for 10-15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  • STEP 9.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • You can adjust the spiciness of the curry by adding more or less red chili powder.
  • For a richer flavor, you can use freshly ground spices instead of store-bought powders.
