Elderflower, artichoke, lime and almond its an odd combination, to say the least. So we were pleasantly surprised to find that it makes for a completely charming sour, a sweet floral sit followed by just a hint of bitter complexity from the amaro. Its creator, bartender jeremy oertel at brooklyns donna, recommends a jamaican rum (specifically, smith & cross), due to its more funky, flavorful undertones. Weve tried it with several aged rums, and quite frankly weve never had a bad one yet.
