A thick caramel sauce made from milk and sugar. An araquipe spread is similar to dulce de leche and this creamy caramel glues together two thin, circular wafer cookies, called obleas to create a dessert by the same. The outer shell is often paired with other spreads such as guava, raspberrries, and whipped cream. It is similar to caramel and is used in many hispanic desserts especially ones from Argentina. It has a sweet golden brown color with deeply decadent flavor.
