Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Peel and chop the ripe mangoes into small pieces.
  • STEP 2.In a blender, add the chopped mangoes, cumin seeds, ginger, green chilies, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  • STEP 3.In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds. Once they start spluttering, add curry leaves and asafoetida.
  • STEP 4.Pour the mango mixture into the pan and cook for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
  • STEP 5.Add water to adjust the consistency of the broth. Simmer for a few more minutes.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot as an appetizer or with rice or roti.
