  • 0.33 liter Whole milk
  • 0.11 cup Dried broken rice
  • 0.33 cup Sugar

Directions: Ambalapuzha Paal Payasam Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a pressure cooker add 1 litre of milk(room temperature), ⅓ cup of dried broken rice and 1 cup of sugar.
  • STEP 2.Stir continuously and allow to boil.
  • STEP 3.When the mix boils, close the pressure cooker and cook in a medium low flame for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 4.Turn off the flame. Keep the cooker undisturbed for 1 hour.
  • STEP 5.After 1 hour, serve the payasam.
