Ingredients for Akkaravadisal Recipe

  • 0.60 cup full cream milk
  • 1/10 tsp Moong dal
  • 1/20 cup Raw rice
  • 0.15 cup Grated jaggery +
  • 1/20 cup Ghee
  • 1/20 tsp cardamom powder
  • As required Saffron
  • 10 gm Cashews

Directions: Akkaravadisal Recipe

  • STEP 1.Boil the milk in a heavy bottom pan. Add the moong dal and rice. Cook in medium heat until the rice and moongdal are completely cooked. Stir in between. Mash it well. Add jaggery syrup ( melted and strained ). Mix well. Add ghee and cardamom powder and mix. Add a pinch of saffron and roasted cashew. Add remaining 1/4 cup ghee and mix well.
