  • 250 gram Okra, Washed And Dried
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
  • 1/2 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Achari Masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • as needed Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and dry the okra, then trim the ends and cut them into small pieces.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and fenugreek seeds. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown. Then add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add the achari masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 5.Add the chopped okra and cook on medium heat until they are tender and cooked through.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to dry the okra thoroughly before cutting to prevent it from becoming slimy.
  • Adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less red chili powder.
  • You can make your own achari masala by grinding together mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, and nigella seeds.
