  • STEP 7.Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
  • STEP 8.Once cooled, cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
  • STEP 9.Serve chilled and garnish with sliced mangoes or chopped pistachios, if desired.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to use ripe and sweet mangoes for the best flavor.
  • If the mangoes are not sweet enough, you can add a little more condensed milk or sugar to adjust the sweetness.
  • For a smoother texture, strain the mango puree before mixing it with the yogurt.
  • You can also add a pinch of saffron strands for an extra touch of flavor and aroma.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of cardamom powder according to your preference.

Storage and Serving

  • Aam doi can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
  • Serve chilled as a dessert or a sweet treat.
  • It can be enjoyed on its own or paired with fresh fruits or nuts for added texture and flavor.
