Director Zoya Akhtar, who is known for her phenomenal movies and TV shows, is also a fiend for some good food. Known to have a reputation for sending her personal cook to the homes of her friends if she enjoys a particular dish, it comes as no surprise that she went all guns blazing to feed the cast of her latest – The Archies – some delicious pizzas and tacos at the success party of the film. With its lead actors Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor in attendance, the actors binged on freshly baked pizzas that came with an assortment of options; from a classic Margherita to a veggie-loaded pie drizzled with balsamic vinegar, the counter also offered options like the loaded chicken and pepperoni.
Other options also included a pizza with spicy minced lamb and one loaded with fresh peppers. As guests also enjoyed bites of what looked like mini lobster rolls, a taco station was in full swing – serving up some delicious Mexican food. Guests could take their pick from soft or hard shell tacos that were stuffed with pulled pork, lamb barbacoa, rotisserie tinga chicken, pulled jackfruit, sweet potatoes and refried beans. This was besides the many accoutrements on offer to make the Mexican feast a real treat. Chef Shilarna aka Chinu, who shared a sneak peek from the party while posing with the director herself, gushed about catering for her through social media saying, “There’s something about Zoya! One of our oldest, bestest clients who is totally obsessed with our tacos! We have been cooking for her since we were in our tiny home kitchen and since before she made her first movie! And I’m proud of how we have all grown.”

Some of the toppings at this taco station also included guacamole, pineapple salsa, cheese sauce, sour cream, pickled jalapenos, spring onions and tomatoes. As hungry guests huddled around these live counters to get their fill, the chefs were seen flattening the pizza dough, assembling the tacos and ensuring that everyone was well-fed and happy.
