Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) recognized the importance of milk and declared 1st June to be celebrated as World Milk Day every year. Milk is one of the most nutritious ingredients, often known as a complete meal. It is rich in vitamins and minerals, calcium, magnesium and zinc and super healthy for your brain and body.
This World Milk Day, we share with you 5 delicious milk recipes that will etch a new memory in your brain.
1. Rose-Flavored Milkshake:
This is really quick to make and tastes yum. Use a rose-flavored milk powder. Add milk and sugar syrup to it. Churn it in the mixer and its ready.
2. Turmeric Latte:
A fancier version of the not-so-tasty haldi doodh that we all detest, if you taste this once, you’ll want to have it every day. Take some ground turmeric and add ginger, sugar, cinnamon and pour in the milk. Blend this together. Once down, boil it in a pan and serve hot.
3. Masala Doodh:
Spice up your regular milk with this masala doodh recipe. Boil milk and when it's reduced to half, add sugar to it. Keep stirring for a while. Then add some saffron soaked in water, nutmeg and cardamom powder, some chopped nuts like pistachios and almonds. Stir well and let it cool for some time. It tastes best when served chilled.
4. Chocolate Milk:
When you’re making chocolate milk, you’ve to add cocoa powder, sugar and some pieces of chocolate with the milk. Now if you want to add a twist, take some hazelnut powder and some hazelnuts to add a dash of distinct taste to your simple chocolate shake.
5. Milk Coconut Pudding:
For this delicious milk pudding, take coconut milk and add sugar to it. Let it simmer on a low-flame. Mix some custard powder in water and add the mixture to the milk. Add a pinch of salt and some finely chopped coconut slices. Then whisk the ingredients properly. Once a thick mixture is formed, let it cool down. Freeze it for an hour and serve cold.
