One of the best things about World Cocktail Day is the chance to try out new flavours and combinations. Mixologists can use this day to showcase their skills and create innovative cocktails that will impress. From fruity and refreshing to bold and complex, the possibilities are endless. It is a fantastic way to revere the art of mixology and showcase the creativity and innovation of cocktail makers worldwide. Whether you're a professional mixologist or a cocktail enthusiast, this day is perfect for trying new recipes and experimenting with new flavours. And echoing similar thoughts, Aniket Chaudhary, Mixologist, Chérie, shares his recipes for four cocktails.

Aniket also has a few handy tips for making cocktails at home. He underlines the importance of shaking a cocktail properly. He says, "It's the quintessential skill needed for so many drinks, but one that even professionals can struggle with the shaking movement, but it needs to be controlled. I advise you to get accustomed to how frosty cold the outside of a shaker feels on your hands; the rest is trial and error."

He recommends trying different movements until you can comfortably rattle a large volume of ice moving across the full length of the shaker (it should sound very loud as it hits either end) for around thirty seconds or more. Practice with water to see how much air you can add to the mix. You'll initially feel slightly ridiculous, but it will give you great control over your shaken drinks.

We use edible gold dust to provide a magical presentation on stirring the cocktail. A secret ingredient is added, which changes the cocktails from blue to purple, which justifies why it is called a Game Changer!
