Have you heard of Twinkle Laddoos? The Internet can't stop talking about these virtual sweets which can earn you cash! Google Pay, Alphabet's UPI payment app in India, has launched a fun game celebrating Diwali, running from October 21 to November 7.
Users can collect six types of virtual laddoos, called Color, Foodie, Disco, Dosti, Trendy, and Twinkle, by making various payments, including vendor transactions, credit card payments, recharge, and peer-to-peer transfers. Collecting all six makes you eligible for a cashback of Rs 1,001.
Additionally, users can request or gift any laddoo from their collection to friends. However, many users have reported difficulty in obtaining the elusive laddoo, leading to a flurry of jokes and expressions of frustration on Twitter as they seek that final piece to qualify for the cashback.
“Anyone have any extra twinkle laddoo please send, manifesting next BTS concert ticket for anyone who does,” one user wrote.
Many shared screenshots of their collected Twinkle laddoo and also offered to share in return for likes or followers. Several users reported their cashback amounts after collecting all six types of virtual laddoos, with one user receiving Rs 927.
It's important to note that gold insurance and Amazon Pay gift cards are not eligible for laddoo rewards on Google Pay. Additionally, you can earn only one laddoo reward per day for each payment, and you cannot receive multiple laddoos for sending payments to the same friend on the same day.
