Panchmel Dal Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Soaked Chana Dal
- 1/4 cup Soaked Yellow Moong Dal
- 1/4 cup Soaked Tur Dal
- 1 cup Soaked Black Urad Dal
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- Salt to Taste
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- Water as Required
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 5-6 Cloves
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 2 Dried Red Chillies
- 1 cup chopped Onions
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
- Salt to Taste
- 1 cup chopped Tomatoes
- 1 tbsp Ghee
- 2 Dried Red Chillies
- 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- Coriander Sprig for garnish
Method:
. First take all dals together in a pan, and add turmeric powder, salt, bay leaves, ghee and water to it.
. Mix a little, cover and let it cook.
. Now in another wok, add cumin seeds in hot oil. Let it crackle.
. Add onion, cloves, tomatoes, and red chillies along with other spices to the oil, mix well, and pour over the cooked dal, right before serving.
. Serve hot.
