The fibre-rich avocados have become quite a rage these days with every other fitness enthusiast and even celebrity, trying various recipes of avocados. The berry, which originates from Mexico, has travelled far and wide. The pulp of the fruit is used to make a popular spread called guacamole. Often featured in breakfast items, avocado toasts are well-known these days. The fruit has gained momentum with a recent sculpture of the toast shared on social media.
Recently, a German sculptor called Tim Bengel showcased his gold-laden avocado toast sculpture at the Berlin Art Week Exhibition held in Germany. Loaded with 18-karat worth of gold, the avocado toast is layered with onion rings, tomato slices and avocado strips sandwiched between two bagel halves. The creator named it as, “Who Wants To Live Forever?” In his Instagram video shared on his official handle, he displays the step-by-step process of how he cast gold on this avocado toast creation.

The video which has garnered close to 3 million views on the photo-sharing platform, is captioned as, “My first Sculpture #WhoWantsToLiveForever #MillennialArt #GreenGold #AvocadoHype”. 3-D scanning has been used to transform the metalwork into a real piece of art. The Green Gold has been priced at US $3 million and the best part is that it is not even edible.
The contemporary artist’s creation which has become a sensation isn’t even edible. The fibrous fruit is rich in Omega-3 and several other nutrients which facilitate a glowing skin and a range of health benefits.
