Video Shows Momo Seller Earns 30L Per Year And Netizens React

Have you ever wondered if you'd be more successful if you pursued business? Even if you opted for a neighbourhood tea joint or a low-key cafe you might just earn a lot! Recently,  a viral video revealed which broke down how much a street momo seller can make in India and the Internet was shocked!

Digital content creator Sarthak Sachdeva decided to get an insider’s view of a momo vendor’s business, aiming to learn about their daily earnings. In a viral reel, Sarthak playfully asks if the momo vendor would hire him for a day. With that, he gets to work, spending the day making steamed and tandoori momos as crowds gather around the stall. He notes that a plate of steamed momos is priced at ₹60, while tandoori momos cost ₹80. Within just an hour and a half, around 55 plates were sold. By observing the vendor, Sarthak learned the tricks of the trade and even prepared the momos himself.

As a steady stream of hungry customers flocked to the stall, Sarthak and the vendor were busy serving plate after plate, topping the momos with seasonings and pairing them with chutneys and mayonnaise. Through this experience, Sarthak was struck by the sheer popularity of momos in India. What surprised him most was that the vendor sold out in just four hours.

At the end of the day, Sarthak asked the momo vendor about the day's earnings and was stunned to learn that they had sold 121 plates of steamed momos and 70 to 80 plates of tandoori momos. This translated to an impressive income of ₹13,500 for the day. The vendor explained that daily expenses ranged from ₹6,000 to ₹7,000. Calculating the final figures, it turned out that the vendor's monthly earnings amounted to ₹2,40,000, leading to an annual income of around ₹30 lakhs.

Netizens were amazed by these figures, with many humorously commenting about changing careers. One user noted the vendor's lack of direct tax payments, while another joked about leaving their studies to sell momos. However, some pointed out that running a momo stall is no easy feat, requiring immense dedication and hard work, including long hours under the scorching sun.

"bro gives us thousand reasons to leave studies,"  a follower commented. "He insulted my degree in each possible way," another follower said.
