The pandemic has left a scar in not just the restaurant business across the world but also on the foodies who couldn't stay away from their favourite eatery for more than a week max! While deliveries were still on in some cities through the second wave in India, dining out has its own charm. Isn’t it? Delhi, being the food capital has so many eateries that are etched in a foodie’s heart and we simply can’t wait to go back to some of those! So, as we recover form the second wave and move towards graded ‘Unlock’, here are 9 of the best restaurants we can’t wait to dine-at! Albeit, with a safe distance and following all Covid protocols.  

1. Big Chill Café 

Isn’t it the first thing that come to your mind when you think of creamy pastas and lip-smacking lasagnas? Big Chill Café with its expansive menu consisting of decadent shakes, grilled fish and feta cheese salads is a must-try! We can’t wait to go back to this foodie heaven!

2. Yeti 

Love momos? Yeti is the place to be! With its scrumptious, juiciest momos possible in town, Yeti has been winning hearts with its diverse menu that covers Tibetan, Nepalese and Bhutanese cuisine that is sure to impress the north-eastern cuisine lover in you!

   

3. Havemore 

Butter Chicken lovers have been perhaps itching to get out of house to their favourite hotspot! Havemore in Pandara Road has been dishing out what could be perhaps the best butter chicken in town since years now and with its new outlet in Saket, it is definitely getting bigger and better.

   

4. Karims 

We know where to find a Nalli Nihari lover post unlock now! Don’t we? KArims at Jama Masjid is a hotspot of many mouth-watering non-vegetarian delicacies and is perhaps one of the oldest eateries in town. Yet, we are never getting enough of it. 

   

5. Triveni Terrace Café 

This cosy little café situated right beside a beautiful amphitheater in Mandi house, Triveni terrace café is a quaint little place serving refreshing chai and coffee with some lip-smacking snacks such as chicken idli, pakodas, palak patta chaat and more! It is packed during the lunch time and is a lovely place to spend quite evenings at. 

 

6. Café Lota 

Another one on the lines of Triveni, Café Lota has been attracting tourists as well as locals who like to eat amid a serene environment. Situated inside the National Crafts Museum, Café Lota serves a diverse range of delicacies including rava idli, filter coffee, mixed potato, bajra chilla and lot more!

   

7. Harajuku - The Tokyo Cafe

For anyone who loves cutesy cafes, this restaurant inspired by a small town by the same name in Tokyo is a must-try! Harajuku, Tokyo Café with its vibrant, pastel hues with a soothing contrast of neon lights, wall art, cloud-shaped lights is attracting Delhiites like nothing else. Binge on scrumptious sushis, katsu curry and hand-pulled noodle with chilli oil among others, that are sure to sate your hungry soul.

Anyone who love south Indian in Delhi will swear by this lovely place! Juggernaut with its peaceful ambiance, refreshing filter coffee and a variety of dosas, appams and idlis is sure to lift you up from your ‘lockdown mode’!

Oh, how we miss lining up for our tikkas, chicken curry and a host of lip-smacking snacks and eat right there! While we would still steer clear of crowding and eating just where we find a place to adjust our plate on, we sure can’t wait to fill our tummy with RDX’s malai tikkas!
