Whenever there’s a party or a get-together at home, easy-to-eat snacks are preferred by guests. Something that you can pop in your mouth and eat, something like a tikka. Tikkas are bite-sized delicacies that were prepared in Mughal kitchens by marinating meat or vegetables in spices and cooking on a tandoor. One vegetarian tikka that is popular today is the paneer tikka. While most recipes use a grill pan, there’s a hack to make it on a sandwich griller too.
The soft cubes of paneer are diced and marinated in spices for some time. Then, along with chopped bell peppers and onions, the paneer is laden on the skewers. However, in place of a grill pan, you can easily use a sandwich griller to make paneer tikka at home. It gives you the same char-grilled marks and smoky flavour while retaining the softness of the paneer. Want to try it at home? Here’s the recipe for Paneer Tikka On A Sandwich Griller.
