While a larger portion of white rums are matured for three to six months, many people wrongly think they are unaged. With the assistance of renowned barman Jim Meehan, founder of Banks Five Island Rum and master blender Arnaud de Trabuc devised this blend of 21 rums from 6 different distilleries originating from 5 different islands: Trinidad, Jamaica, Barbados, Guyana, and Java. A blended rum from the 1920s inspired the blend. The Amsterdam, Holland distillery has barrel-aged the distinct rums for three to twelve years, removed any colour with charcoal filtration, and blended the results to suit each region. Havana Club Añejo Blanco
Havana Club Añejo Blanco has a crisp flavour with notes of vanilla and oak and fruity flavours. In Puerto Rico, a two-part ageing procedure is used to distil it. You can buy it at 2,000 INR. After a year of ageing, the rum is combined and matured for another two months. The result is the ideal rum for a traditional Mojito, made with lime and mint.
Bacardí Superior White Rum
