The onus of bizarre food trends is not on the food bloggers and enthusiasts alone, it seems. Big brands and restaurants also keep appearing in the headlines for adding weird items to their menus time and again. Remember when Mcdonald’s Thailand launched their chilli-flavoured ice cream some time ago? This time it is Mcdonald’s China and they’ve taken the ice cream to a whole new level. Recently, Twitterati is going crazy over the images of Mcdonald’s China’s coriander ice cream sundae. Have you seen it yet?

The tweet was shared by user, Daniel Ahmad which was captioned with, “Mcdonald's China launched a Cilantro Sundae special menu item today, which is interesting...”. The image attached with the tweet is that of a cup of vanilla ice cream, topped with a green jelly and loads of cilantro flakes on top. While the ice cream sundae doesn’t look very tempting or appetizing, we know what will. Here are some delicious ice cream sundaes you can make at home and enjoy.
1. Caramel Popcorn Ice Cream Sundae
Made with the goodness of caramel and the crunch of popcorn, this ice cream sundae is heavenly. The popcorns are topped on the glass of ice cream and served chilled with a drizzle of caramel.
2. Raspberry Ice Cream Sundae
The fruity flavours of raspberry dunked in a scoop of ice cream look and taste delicious. The red raspberries add a pop of colour of the vanilla ice cream. Add some caramelized almonds for the crunch.
3. Cookie Ice Cream Sundae
The crunchy and chocolaty cookies are crushed and dunked into the vanilla ice cream with some chocolate sauce to top it all. Drop in some dried fruit for sweetness.
4. Falooda Ice Cream Sundae
Falooda is generally paired with kulfi, an Indian version of ice cream. However, this time, you can layer your falooda and ice cream in a glass and top it with chopped fruits.
5. Peanut Butter Ice Cream Sundae
Scoops of peanut butter ice cream are dunked in an ice cream cup and a generous drizzle of chocolate sauce is added to it. This is finished off with some crushed nuts for the crunch. This is truly a crunchy heaven with peanut butter and additional nuts.
