Chicken steak is a popular choice for dinner amongst the non-vegetarians, as the delicious crispy chicken which is generally savoured with barbecue sauce, sauté vegetables and fries, doubles up as an easy to make and delectable comfort meal, to tuck in to before you call it a day. The nutritional value of the chicken steak makes it a great source of protein to consume, if you’re on a diet. However, if you’re in the mood for eating a healthy version of the chicken steak, instead of frying the chicken, grill or roast the chicken steak and devour it with brown jus instead of frying it. Whichever route you choose, the taste of chicken steak in both the versions is inarguably appetising.
When opting for a chicken steak dinner, keep in mind that the chicken must be marinated well. This is important because the dish isn’t cooked in masalas for long and therefore, the better you marinate it, the better it will taste after grilling or frying. One could substitute frying the chicken in oil by frying it in the butter with some herbs. Don’t forget to pound the chicken breast so that it becomes a little flat as this will help in cooking the inner side and out layer evenly. Chicken breast can be cooked in three ways including pan seared, oven baked or poached.
