Delhi chaat—it's a popular category of food across India these days. Anyone feeling peckish considers ordering a helping of papdi chaat every once in a while. But what about Delhi itself? It is quite the ‘paradise’ for chaat, so we scoured the city for the best it has to offer. It’s a difficult proposition to nail down just ten great chaat places in the national capital, but if you’re in town, you’d be well rewarded if you visited any (or all) of these 10 terrific spots for chaat.

1.    Bittoo Tikki Wala

BTW, which stands for "By The Way", has multiple outlets located throughout Delhi and is reputed for its delicious chaats prepared in a hygienic manner. Their chaats are cooked in olive oil, which eliminates the need to be concerned about the type of oil used in the preparation.

Your passion for street food, especially chaat, should take you to this spot. We tried their fantastic Aloo Tikki, Bhall Chaat and flavorful masaledaar Aloo Chaat, all of them were too good. We also tried their Chole Bhature, which was average, but the Lassi was enjoyable.

The place in G.K. is well-known for its diverse range of chaat items, including the highly recommended Palak Patta Chaat. We tried their crispy Aloo Tikki, Dahi Aloo Tikki Chaat, Pav Bhaji, and Meetha Paan, which we found to be quite good, but their prices are a little higher than other places. Their menu boasts a variety of chaat options, such as Sabudana Tikki, Bhalla Papri, Matar Kulcha, Sev Puri, Bhel Puri.

Located in the bustling streets of Delhi-6, this traditional chaat corner is well-known for their delectable chaats. During my visit, I sampled their crispy Golgappas which were paired with flavorful Pani. This popular eatery is situated within walking distance of Paranthe Vaali Gali and despite its small size, it manages to serve some of the most delicious chaat you'll ever taste, at affordable prices and with impeccable presentation.

When you think of a good Aloo Chaat, you hope for crispy fried potatoes with a spicy and tangy masala. This is exactly what you will find at this well-known chaat spot in Chandni Chowk, which has been around for nearly a century. Some of their delicious chaat offerings are, Aloo Chaat, Fruit Chaat, and Shakarkandi Chaat.

In Delhi-6, there is a place for healthy chaat options that stands out because it is made entirely of fruits. We went to this iconic outlet specifically to try their Kulle ki Chaat, but we also tasted their Aloo Tikki and Aloo Chaat. The Kulle Ki Chaat is a unique concept where you can select any four seasonal fruits or vegetables, so I chose Mango, Watermelon, Cucumber, and Tomato, which were filled with Chane, Pomegranate, and Masalas. The Aloo Chaat and Aloo Tikki were good too.

This establishment is known for its impressive chaat selection. Conveniently located near CP, it's a must-visit spot, but be aware that there is no seating available.

We ordered their Bhalla Chaat and Golgappe, which were delicious. On the menu, you will also find dishes such as Delhi Chaat, Aloo Tikki Chat, Pav Bhaaji, Bhel Puri, Golgappe, and Pani Puri.
