Taylor Swift's Chai Sugar Cookies Are A Comforting Classic

Sugar cookies are a staple recipe for anyone who loves to bake and it seems Taylor Swift isn’t immune to their charms either. She’s known for being an Autumnal gal with cosy evenings with her cats being the highlight of her year. So when the weather starts to get chilly, her recipe for Chai Sugar Cookies is always at the top of everyone’s wishlist.

The base cookie recipe comes courtesy of Joy The Baker, a food blogger who shared her tips for simple sugar cookies back in 2009. But Taylor Swift added her own personal touch with a hint of tea (not Chai tea, please Tay Tay, we’re begging you to get it right). In an old Tumblr post – yes, this trend has been around for that long – she shares her tips and tricks to make these Tay-sty bakes.

This recipe brings together the beloved taste of chai with the simple sweetness of sugar cookies for a delicious crunchy biscuit that you’ll want to nibble all day long.

  • Let the cookies cool, combine the ingredients for the glaze and spread some on each cookie before sprinkling with sugar.
