Tara Sutaria to Ananya Panday, the Gen Z actors have many things in common apart from their love for acting. They are fitness enthusiasts who are conscious about what they eat. This not only helps them to stay fit but facilitates them to lead a healthy lifestyle. While they all cut down on sugar, the cravings have a way of catching up.
These actors love to indulge in desserts and greasy food occasionally. Not to mention the satisfaction that you get after relishing traditional foods. One more common thing among many of these actors is their love for baking. Recently, Tara Sutaria baked a caramel hot pecan pie, and the results seemed to be quite interesting.

5 Do’s And Don’ts Of Baking Caramel Hot Pecan Pie At Home
While Tara Sutaria didn’t share the recipe for caramel hot pecan pie, here are some do’s and don’ts to keep in mind if you are planning to attempt to bake the dessert at home. Note these so your first attempt can be a success too.
Use Fresh Pecans
Baking or cooking anything for the first time or 100th time, always go for fresh and quality ingredients if you want the dish to be a success. Fresh pecans bring out the best texture and flavour to the recipe. If you use stale nuts, the pie will not come out as well as you hoped for.
Don’t Overbake
The trick with baking is to always stay alert and not cook the ingredients beyond the expected time. If you leave the dish in the microwave for an extra five seconds, its texture and taste can be ruined. Since it’s a pie, the filling should remain jiggly when you take it out of the oven and set it at room temperature.
Cook Ingredients
Two of the crucial steps to acing the recipe of caramel hot pecan pie are toasting the nuts and achieving the right consistency of caramel. Toasting adds a crunch and brings out the flavour of the dessert. When it comes to caramel, it should remain smooth but not so thick that you can’t pour it over the pie. It should thicken when you bake it.
Don’t Skip Cooling
Pie is not a chocolate mud cake or a puffed roti that you have to gulp down when hot (you try this here and you will end up burning your tongue). Cooling allows the moisture to evaporate, the caramel to set, and the crust to turn crunchier. If you don’t refrigerate the pie, you will end up with runny filling.
Cover The Crust
When you are baking the dessert, keep an eye on the crust. It will take less time for it to cook and harden than the filling to thicken. Therefore, if you notice the edges start to turn brown, cover them with foil to prevent them from burning. You can also use a thermometer to ensure that the caramel reaches a certain temperature so that you can stop the baking process.
