Swiggy, the popular food delivery platform in India, has yet again come up with an exciting feature for their mobile application. How many times have you opened the app, scrolling through some of the tempting dishes, not deciding what to eat, and closed your mobile, only to settle on the closest bag of chips
Tracking the similar indecisiveness of customers, Swiggy came up with a feature called “Eatlists.” As per reports, the feature will act like a food playlist. Just the way you place ratings for a dish or restaurant on the food delivery app, you can now add it to your list, and instead of scrolling through thousands of options, you can go to your saved list and order without any hassles.
Reports suggest that, as per Swiggy’s in-app insights, 58% of users get indecisive while choosing what to order and eat. Furthermore, 68% of customers rely on recommendations from friends, family, or reviews, making them navigate from one platform to another to make their choice, making food ordering a time-consuming process.
To help their customers skip through an elaborate research process, Swiggy has launched Eatlists. With the latest feature, you can not only make your go-to food playlists, but you can also share them via popular platforms like WhatsApp and Instagram through the food delivery itself. Moreover, if you have a certain Eatlist link, you can browse through a person’s selection and get ideas on what to order.
Reportedly, Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy, said, “Before social media and other digital channels, food was the original form of community building. Sharing meals brought people together. Eatlists brings the best of both worlds: the ability to create and share your food identity with the world while discovering new favourite dishes through thousands of Eatlists curated by fellow food lovers and experts, both in your city and beyond.”
The best part about the feature is that it is really user-friendly and does not require you to be techno-savvy. On the Swiggy mobile app, you can spot the “Save to Eatlist” option below the ratings for every food item. Once you click on it, you’ll get a pop-up asking you to make a new list or add the item to one of the pre-created lists: “All time fav,” “Comfort food,” and “Late night cravings.”
