As per nutritionist Lovneet Batra, this herb contains steroidal, alkaloids and saponin chemicals that are essential for active hormonal pathways in the system. These elements can increase the production of T4 hormone with the help of conversion of T4 to T3. 

Moringa 

As per some medical studies, moringa is a plant that may have a regulatory effect on the thyroid gland. Nutritionist Lovneet Batra says that moringa Oleifera can regulate the production of thyroxine and triiodothyronine because of polyphenols and thiocyanate. Besides, it also promotes better metabolism. 

Ginger Root 

Ginger root, which is classified as an herb, can be effective when it comes to thyroid. As per nutritionist Batra, this root can help in relieving persistent hypothyroid symptoms and can also have beneficial effects in terms of weight reduction. It also helps in regulation of the FBS and lipid profile in hypothyroid patients. 

Nigella 

Nigella or black cumin seeds are quite an underrated herb, and we can’t disagree with this. Power packed with so many benefits, it is also considered an effective remedy for thyroid. It can decrease inflammation and can also help in reducing SH and anti-TPO antibodies. It also raises T3, as per Lovneet Batra. 

Lemon Balm  

Lemon balm is an herb which can be effective in blocking TSH binding to the receptor by acting on the hormones and receptor itself. According to nutritionist Lovneet Batra, this herb also acts on inhibiting the cyclic AMP production by stimulating the TSH receptor as antibodies. Lemon balm contains high content of rosimarinic acid. 

Licorice 

As per some medical experts, licorice is an herb that can help in maintaining a perfect balance among the glands in the body. As per nutritionist Lovneet Batra, this herbs in protecting the thyroid gland from oxidative damage and can help in lowering cortisol levels.
