While details about Sonkashi Sinha’s wedding to Zaheer Iqbal have remained hush-hush so far, an artisanal sweet shop located in the Mumbai suburbs of Borivali were entrusted with the responsibility of indulging the couple’s guests with sweet treats. A concept shop known as Meetha by the Raddison Hotels, dished out delicious morsels of motichoor ladoo, kesar barfi and a gulkand ladoo studded with dried rose petals. Known to have previously catered for TV actress Ankita Lokhande’s wedding, the premium sweet shop is famed for some interesting creations alongside the usual suspects from an Indian sweet shop.

Perched on brightly lit shelves alongside the different varieties of barfi and ladoo are chocolate Biscoff pedas, mithais shaped like custard apples and strawberries as well as hot favourites incorporating seasonal fruits like citrus and mangoes. The sweet shop also specialises in a red velvet cheese ladoo, walnut roll as well as a handpicked assortment of house specials which feature on their elaborate 56 Mithai Thali. Their artisanal creations range from a blueberry barfi to traditional recipes of mawa ladoos and unusual combinations of chocolate and orange fused together in barfi form.
