If you ask me, it isn’t Christmas without a plum cake. After all what’s a feast without anything sweet? And if feasting becomes guilt-free, nothing like it. Especially for those who avoid too much sugar or fat, guilt-free feasting is the way to go.
Planning a Christmas feast at home is no easy task. Especially if you have guests who are health conscious or doesn’t eat too much sweet. This exclusive recipe of sugar free oats and chocolate cookies by the one and only Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, is sure to make your Christmas feast different and leave your guests impressed. Cookies go best with your cup of tea or kickstarting a feast. These chocolate cookies can be a perfect addition to your snacks and savouries table. Made with a mix of Sugarfree Chocolate with wholesome oats along with baking powder, flour, butter and egg, these cookies are a delight to relish. Here’s the full recipe:
SUGARFREE OATS AND CHOCOLATE COOKIES
Preparation Time: 40-45 minutes
Cooking Time: 20-25 minutes
Servings: Makes 16 cookies
Ingredients
½ cup chopped Nutralite Sugarfree D’lite Chocolate
¾ cup oats
¾ cup butter
¼ cup + ⅔ tablespoon Sugar Free Natura
1 egg
1 cup + 2 tablespoons refined flour (maida)
1½ teaspoons baking powder
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4. Line a seven inch by five inch baking tray with butter paper.
2. Place the butter and Sugar Free Natura in a glass bowl and cream them till light and fluffy. Add the egg and mix well.
3. Sift the flour and baking powder together. Add the oats and chocolate and mix.
4. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix well.
5. Divide the dough into sixteen equal portions. Make small balls and flatten each lightly on your palm. Place them on the tray, a little distance apart from each other.
6. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake at for twenty to twenty-five minutes.
7. Remove tray from oven and place the cookies on wire rack to cool.
8. Serve when cool or store in an airtight container.
