This Is Siddhant Chaturvedi’s Favourite Paratha Spot In Mumbai

New-age actor Siddhant Chaturvedi who rose to fame with his portrayal of a rapper in Gully Boy, also went on to win accolades for his recent outing with Ananya Panday. Besides going to the gym in order to stay fit, the actor relies on a combination of sustainable workouts like dancing and martial arts, as well as a diet that allows him to include all his favourite foods. Aside from the usual boiled eggs and oats for breakfast, Siddhant believes in giving into his indulgence of stuffed parathas from time to time.

Being away from home and pursuing his passion for being in front of the lens in Mumbai has allowed him to zero in on places that can continue to give him a taste of delicious parathas that remind him of his formative years.  Revealing that parathas were what he treated himself to after theatre practice or a show, he fondly reminisced about how Khaasiyat – a paratha joint located in the suburbs of Vile Parle in Mumbai, was the place to get his fill of the Indian flatbread.

The eatery, which serves up classics like aloo and gobhi, also does innovative combinations like spinach and paneer parathas – all of which are served alongside chhole, raita, dal makhana and a salad of shredded vegetables. Meant to be a budget friendly place that also offers student discounts, one portion of parathas is more than enough to be shared by two people. During the promotions of Gehraiyaan last year, Siddhant revealed that eating authentic ‘Dilliwale’ momos was his guilty pleasure. Some of his other favourite cheat meals also included sev puri, pav bhaji and dosas, while mentioning that he also enjoyed snacking on khakhras if midnight hunger pangs struck.
