The fact that Shilpa Shetty is one of the fittest Indian foodies is well-accepted and known for decades now. From whipping up delicious dishes in her own kitchen to tasting the best that the world has to offer while travelling, Shilpa Shetty truly appreciates good food. But like most fit foodies, she has her own set days when she indulges in treats that are heavy in sugar or fats like ghee—in Shilpa Shetty’s case that day is Sunday.

For example, in a previous post from Mysuru, she indulged in a variety of Mysore Paks sourced locally and revealed that it’s Sunday so she can freely indulge in the sweet dish. However, in a recent video story post on Instagram, Shilpa Shetty was seen breaking her rule after a few bites of a frozen dessert that every Indian loves, kulfi!

In the video, Shilpa Shetty can be seen indulging in what looks like Pista Kulfi with great gusto. The video, going by the ambiance, seems to have been taken at a Mumbai restaurant that also serves South Indian dishes going by the masala dosa visible in the frame. As Shilpa Shetty takes bite after bite of the kulfi with eagerness and wide eyes, her friend, who is shooting the video asks her why she’s eating it when it’s not Sunday.

Shilpa Shetty, who is clearly taken by surprise at this, immediately responds that the kulfi is so delicious that she forgot it isn’t Sunday. So, the dish is in fact so delicious that it made Shilpa Shetty forget what day of the week it was! If your love for kulfis is just as vibrant, then here are a few varieties you should try:

1. Malai Kulfi: Utterly creamy and often infused with cardamom and saffron, this is the most widely consumed kulfi variety there is. This one is often topped with almonds and pistachios too.

2. Pista Kulfi: Loaded with pistachios that have been turned into a green-hued paste as well as chopped ones, this kulfi variety is simply too delicious to miss out on any time of the year.

3. Mango Kulfi: The ultimate Indian summer-time indulgence, this kulfi variety is made with mango pulp and has an orange-coloured hue on it.

4. Kesar Kulfi: Infused with saffron or kesar, this kulfi variety has a saffron-hue and is one of the most aromatic kulfis found in the nation.

5. Rose Kulfi: Second only to saffron kulfi in aroma, this one has rose water infused in the kulfi rabdi. Many also add chopped rose petals or gulkand to add to the flavour.
