Sayani Gupta Digs Into Some Hungarian delight

Sayani was recently seen gorging her way around in Budapest. This “Four more shots” actress on her journey to Budapest clicked a picture of the inflight meal and mid-air view from the plane and posted on her Instagram stories, captioning it "I mean..". it seems like the breath-taking view and the delicious snacks have left her speechless, or shall we say 'wordless'!. What we could see from the picture was the plate had some chilly cuts, cheese, a pudding, some bread and so on. Sayani is a big-time foodie is mostly seen cooking up a storm in her kitchen. Few days back she even made the authentic patishapta for the first time. 

On her all-girls trip to Budapest where she tagged them as her Valentine, she is seen enjoying her trip. But if you are visiting Budapest here are few of the dishes that you should not miss

Halászlé

This Fisherman soup that sees loads of hot, spicy paprika was once upon a time prepared by fishermen on banks of the Danube and Tisza Rivers. This Christmas dish sees a number of version where it is made with fish such as carp, perch or more. Loads of hot paprika and, and hot pepper makes halászlé as one one of the spiciest soups. 

Kürtőskalács (Chimney Cake)


This split cake is a very interesting Romanian dessert. Made with slightly sweetened yeast dough and topped with cinnamon and sugar topping, this Chimney cake makes for a famous street food that us made in the grill. Traditionally chimney cakes are popular in cold months and earlier they were hollow but later these chimney cakes saw been filled with ice cream too. 

Gulyás (Goulash)

Another Hungarian delight the Gulyás (Goulash) is either a vegetable soup or meat stew. This one see onions that have been sautéed in animal fat (lard) and once it goes brown then spoonful’s of sweet Hungarian paprika gets added along with some more veggies or meat of ones choice. The preferred meat is mostly beef. This is like an everyday dish for the Hungarians. 

Gyümölcsleves (Cold Fruit Soup)

This fun cold soup made with different types of berries like sour cherries, peaches, plums, strawberries and more is a perfect summer dish. Mostly eaten across Central and Eastern Europe this soup sees a much tangy taste. An ideal starter, this soup is much comforting and yummy.
