Mango Iced Tea Cocktail

This is an excellent recipe for mango-infused iced tea that packs a punch, where rum and whiskey are just fabulous. The fruity essence comes from the rum, while the Canadian whiskey provides smooth, velvety notes. Unlike the usual tea mixed drinks, it incorporates real tea that promises to have a quite delightful and quick cherished summer cocktail.

30ml Canadian whisky

30ml Mango rum

120ml chilled iced tea

Lemon wedge, for garnish

Method: Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour in the whiskey and rum. Add iced tea to the top. Give it a quick stir for mixing. Finish by adorning it with a lemon wedge. Sip and enjoy.

Ginger Tea

Together, cognac and green tea go very well; they really do their thing in the ginger tea recipe. To make it even better, first mix plain simple syrup with fresh ginger and mint. Therefore, in case you like this combination, add mint and ginger to your simple syrup for refreshing and making it last longer.

Ingredients

3 pieces fresh ginger

4 mint leaves, divided

15ml simple syrup

30ml cognac

60ml freshly brewed green tea, chilled

Method: In a mixing glass, mix very well the ginger, three mint leaves, and simple syrup. Add the cognac and fresh tea; mix some more. Strain into a classic glass filled with fresh ice. Top with a mint leaf. Serve and enjoy.

Tea Tini

Martini-based drinks offer a perfect vehicle for including the element of tea. Of those, the simple tea tini stands out. For all practical purposes, it comprises shaken vodka, tea, and lemon juice strained into a martini glass. Its simplicity and sophistication beg to be tweaked to your taste.

Ingredients

Granulated sugar, for rimming (optional)

45ml vodka

30ml cold tea

¼ freshly squeezed lemon juice, to more taste

1 tsp honey, or simple syrup, to taste

Lemon wedge or wheel, for garnish

Method: Rub the rim of a cocktail glass with a lemon wedge, if desired, then dip into a small amount of sugar. Tap off any excess sugar over the sink. In an ice-filled cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, cold tea, lemon juice, and honey. Shake well. Strain into the prepared glass or a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon wedge or slice. Serve and enjoy.
