Protein Rich Kaley Chane Ki Chutney From Bihar, Recipe Inside

Chutney, an indispensable element of Indian cuisine, is a delectable and versatile accompaniment that imparts an explosion of flavour to an array of culinary preparations. Whilst every region of the country boasts its own unique culinary delights, we recently had the pleasure of discovering a delectable chutney hailing from Bihar - the Kaley Chane Ki Chutney. Here’s how you can prepare it.  

Ingredients: 

1 cup black chickpeas (Kaala chana), soaked overnight 

1 green chilli 

6-7 cloves of garlic 

1 dry red chilli 

Salt, to taste 

2 tsp mustard oil 

Juice of 1/2 lemon 

Method: 

To commence, it is recommended to soak a cup of black chickpeas overnight. After an overnight soak, proceed to drain and thoroughly rinse the chickpeas with fresh, clean water. To create a flavorful blend, combine soaked chickpeas, garlic cloves, green chilli, dry red chilli, and salt in a blender. Combine the ingredients and process until a thick paste forms. Mix in the lemon juice and blend again for a few seconds to incorporate. Once the chutney is ready, carefully transfer it to a bowl and proceed to mix it thoroughly with some high-quality mustard oil.The Bihari Chane Ki Chutney is now prepared and ready to be savoured!
