Coffee and peppermint alone have a very strong flavor. The combination of these ingredients means that they combine the flavors and further spice up the mocha.
Here’s how to make this perfect beverage.
Ingredients ( serve - 2 mugs )
- 2 tablespoons of matcha powder
- ⅓ cup coffee beans
- 3-4 tablespoons of cane sugar
- 1 cup dairy-free milk
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 2-3 drops of mint extract
- Whipped cream for foaming the mug
Method
- Start with boiling a bowl of water.
- Grind the coffee beans in a grinder.
- In a small bowl, mix matcha powder, cocoa powder, cane sugar ( you can use any sweetener ), and boiled water. Use a whisker and whisk until the powder turns into a fine paste or syrup. Add 2-3 drops of mint extract.
- In a small saucepan, heat one cup of milk and add a pinch of sugar to it.
- Combine the coffee powder and 2 cups of boiling water in any coffee maker or french press and let it steep for 5-6 minutes.
- Pour the syrup mixture into the bottom of each mug and fill the mug halfway with hot coffee.
- Fill the coffee mug with warm milk and top with whipped cream.
