Coffee and peppermint alone have a very strong flavor. The combination of these ingredients means that they combine the flavors and further spice up the mocha.

Here’s how to make this perfect beverage.

Ingredients ( serve - 2 mugs )

  • 2 tablespoons of matcha powder
  • ⅓ cup coffee beans
  • 3-4 tablespoons of cane sugar
  • 1 cup dairy-free milk
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 2-3 drops of mint extract
  • Whipped cream for foaming the mug

Method

  • Start with boiling a bowl of water.
  • Grind the coffee beans in a grinder.
  • In a small bowl, mix matcha powder, cocoa powder, cane sugar ( you can use any sweetener ), and boiled water. Use a whisker and whisk until the powder turns into a fine paste or syrup. Add 2-3 drops of mint extract.
  • In a small saucepan, heat one cup of milk and add a pinch of sugar to it.
  • Combine the coffee powder and 2 cups of boiling water in any coffee maker or french press and let it steep for 5-6 minutes.
  • Pour the syrup mixture into the bottom of each mug and fill the mug halfway with hot coffee.
  • Fill the coffee mug with warm milk and top with whipped cream.
