If you haven’t been living under a rock, you know how Shah Rukh Khan's comeback film "Pathaan" has been breaking records at the box office since it hit theatres on January 25. The action thriller, which co-stars John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, not only joined the 300-crore club but also became one of the quickest Indian films to accomplish the historic feat. The film was SRK’s first film in four years, the last being "Zero" in 2019.
Following the release of the film, the superstar, along with other cast members and crew members, hosted a media interaction and revealed some interesting behind-the-scenes moments from the sets of "Pathaan." In one such anecdote, SRK related how John used to bring a special homemade pasta to the movie's set, which the actor absolutely despised. Wondering why SRK would loathe pasta so much? Read on.
Speaking about it Shah Rukh said in Hindi, "John ek pasta banate hain. Main soch raha hu sirf apna pizza khau, iska pasta kabhi na khau (John Abraham cooks a special pasta, while I'm thinking of eating only my pizza and never wanting to try the pasta he makes)." He further confessed, "There was only one thing in the film that went wrong, and because of my love for John, I couldn't say it out loud. But today, I want to speak my heart out," he joked with John Abraham, saying, "Bhai, wo pasta tu bhi khana chhod de please (brother, you please stop eating that pasta, as well)."
Speaking about the flavour of John’s pasta, SRK said, "Bohot hi alag sa taste hai. Aisa lagta hai ki cardboard ko 20 saal cupboard mein rakha hai aur nikal ke chabana shuru kar diya (The pasta had such a unique taste that it felt like cardboard was kept in the cupboard for 20 years and taken out to be eaten)," joked Shah Rukh.
He further said that John would only eat his home-cooked pasta and nothing else, as Khan revealed. "And that's all he eats! Pasta, pasta, pasta, cardboard, cardboard, cardboard!"
