The upcoming wedding of actress Parineeti Chopra and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha, to be held on September 24 in Udaipur, is all set to be a very vibrant affair. Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha, who got engaged in May in Delhi, have already kicked off the pre-wedding rituals over the last few weeks, including an Ardaas and Kirtan as per Sikh wedding norms. The couple’s Delhi homes have been decked up with lights and flowers too.
Reports suggest that Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha, along with their families and friends will travel to Udaipur on September 22, where the wedding is all set to take place with 200 guests expected to attend. Most of the pre-wedding ceremonies and rituals on September 23 are expected to take place at the Leela Palace in Udaipur, while the wedding ceremony on September 24 will be held at the Taj Lake.
Since the wedding is at Udaipur, it is expected that the guests will be served plenty of Rajasthani delicacies. Hindustan Times reports that the wedding celebrations will officially begin on September 23 with a welcome lunch for all the guests. Being called Grains of Love, this lunch at the Leela Palace is expected to be loaded with Rajasthani dishes as well as global dishes. Since both Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha’s families have strong Punjabi roots, elaborate Punjabi dishes are also expected to be featured in the menu.
Rumours also suggest that Parineeti Chopra’s brothers, Sahaj Chopra and Shivang Chopra, who are both food entrepreneurs based out of Delhi, have curated the menus for the wedding. Sahaj Chopra, who runs popular Delhi QSR business Fat Tiger and The Old Delhi, is well-known to have treated Parineeti Chopra to the delicious dimsums, kebabs and kulfis served at his food ventures. It is being reported that these favourites of Parineeti Chopra, including plenty of dimsums and kebabs, will also make it to the wedding menu.
The sangeet, which will be held on September 23 from 7PM onwards, is also expected to adhere to the overall wedding theme of 90s Nostalgia. Reports say that Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha’s sangeet ceremony will take the guests back to the 90s with popular songs from the decade. On September 24, Raghav Chadha is expected to arrive at the Taj Lake with his baraat not on a traditional horse but a boat on the lake. With the security for the wedding expected to be quite strict, it is expected that more information about the wedding will likely come from social media posts by the guests.
