This palak paneer in a pressure cooker is a healthy and protein rich recipe that you can eat with chapati, rice or even with toast. Filled with the goodness of spinach and the good fat as well as protein from paneer, this one pot dish is very easily made and fills you up completely. It can be made with the most basic of ingredients lying in your kitchen and hardly takes 20 minutes of your time. here is a very simple palak paneer and pressure cooker recipe for you to try at your home.
- 250 grams paneer cut into cubes
- 500 grams spinach, cleaned and roughly chopped
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tbsp red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp jeera powder
- 1 tbsp dhaniya powder
- Butter, for cooking
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 onion
- 1 tomato
- 5-6 garlic cloves
- 1-inch peeled ginger
- 4-5 green chillies
- Salt as per taste
Method
- In a pressure cooker, heat some butter.
- Add the spinach, onions, garlic, tomato and stir for a couple of minutes.
- Add water, close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook till 2 whistles on medium flame.
- Let the spinach cool down and then grind it into a tin paste.
- In the same cooker, add a bit more butter and the spinach paste.
- Add all the powdered spices except garam masala and salt and cook on flame till it starts to boil.
- Adjust water and cover the pressure cooker.
- Cook for 5-6 minutes on a low flame. Add garam masala.
- Cook for a minute on high flame and then turn off the heat.
