Paan Martini: A Striking Indian Take On Your Classic Martini

Paan Martini is all about infusions that also packs an intense yet heavenly taste with a medley of flavours, ultimately good enough to tantalize anyone’s taste buds. Indians have a love affair with paan as many people in the country love tasting paans in different varieties and flavours. Nowadays we have a gamut of dishes you can make with paan leaves or paan flavour including cookies, kebabs, peda and kulfi. To think of a cocktail with paan seems rather thrilling and unique, doesn't it? 

A classic martini is blended with a splash of gin and vodka. On the other hand, this paan martini is simply a cocktail that is fused with the two prim- gin and vermouth, along with addition of  paan flavour and crushed betel leaves with a dash of lime juice poured towards the end. This desi version of martini is sure to impress you with its deliciousness and a dazzling mix of sweet and sour flavours. Now let’s quickly get into knowing the steps of making this cocktail at home.  

Ingredients-  

  • 30ml gin 
  • 10ml vermouth 
  • 2 tablespoon paan flavour 
  • 1 tablespoon of finely chopped betel leaves  
  • 10ml lime juice  

Steps in the making-  

  • Take a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Start by pouring lime juice into it and then add the rest of the ingredients. 
  • Shake and mix well.  
  • Top it off with betel leaves if you desire and give it a gentle stir. 
  • There you go! Your desi cocktail is ready.
