While travelling to any place, especially by train or road, we tend to pack snacks for the journey. Chatting with one another, playing games, watching movies and nibbling onto small bites are common ways to pass time. On my recent trip to Amritsar, the train took us almost eight hours and we just couldn’t sit idle for that long. Moreover, we felt hungry every two hours so each one of us had got chips, biscuits and sandwiches that we could eat on the way. There was a couple beside us who opened up their tiffin boxes and the aroma of their kulchas and chole filled the entire compartment.
Mira Kapoor, the self-confessed foodie that she is, also seems to be travelling somewhere otherwise why would she be carrying such a huge snack pack with her. Oh yes, you read it right. Although they say you should travel light, it hardly happens to be the case. Mira Kapoor recently shared a glimpse of her packed handbags in her Instagram story and we are curious what’s inside. She captions it saying, “Me and my overstuffed snack bag #becausesnacks” and we can surely relate.
This is dry, chips-like snack made from instant oats and chivda or flattened rice. Dried coconut flakes and cornflakes are also used to make this wholesome snack which is flavoured with salt, sugar, chili powder and turmeric powder.
