As per nutritionist Lovneet Batra, mint contains antioxidant rosmarinic acid which helps in improving the blood circulation to the skin and keeps the skin healthy and hydrated. 

Jamun 

Summers are special not just because of mangoes but jamun too. These little purple-hued fruits are rich in minerals and vitamins. According to nutritionist Batra, jamun contains ellagic acid and quercetin. These compounds act as a shield against UV damage and chemical irritants. It reduces inflammation, redness and itching while increasing the skin’s hydration. 

Bitter Gourd 

I know that you weren’t expecting bitter gourd in the list but to your shock, bitter gourd is a vegetable packed with ample minerals and vitamins like E and C. Because of its high antioxidant compounds such as water-soluble vitamin C, lipophilic vitamin E, and carotenoids, bitter gourd help protect skin cells from damage and promotes healthy skin health, says nutritionist Batra. 

Ash Gourd 

You may not know but Ash Gourd is a highly potent vegetable. Known for detoxifying properties, Ash Gourd is also beneficial for healthy skin. Vitamin E present in Ash Gourd can battle against free radical damage in the skin. It helps in providing smooth skin. 

Amla 

Amla is already quite popular because of its medicinal properties. As per nutritionist Lovneet Batra, amla helps in enhancing the fibroblast proliferation in a concentration-dependent manner and exhibits a highly significant photo-protective effect against UVB-induced cytotoxicity. Amla has a strong anti-hyaluronidase activity which suggests the increased hyaluronic acid and is highly beneficial for prevention of premature skin aging, i.e., wrinkle formation.
