Health has become the prime focus for most of us in the past two years. In the post-pandemic era, there is no other way one would think it as a second option. Due to which, more and more people are switching to healthier options and a healthier lifestyle. Right from the morning meal to evening snacking has drastically changed. After all, the diet that we consume on a daily basis has a significant impact on our overall health and well-being. No wonder restaurant chains and even fast-food joints are consciously trying to keep up with changing lifestyle of the consumer, through its products. Many restaurants and eateries are now trying to incorporate healthy options into their regular menus. And seems like fast-food giant McDonald's is on the forefront of it. With an aim to cater to health-conscious individuals, especially children, and to give a wholesome and nutritious refresh to its menu, McDonald’s India – North and East have introduced a few nutritious options to the beloved 'Happy Meal'.
So now besides an array of healthy options to go with your nuggets and fries, one can also order a fruit bowl with pineapple tidbits. You also get to choose between fruit-based Apple juice and Chocolate Milkshake in addition to burger of your choice with the Happy Meal. A juice with no added sugar and a chocolate milk shake with low-fat dairy but rich in calcium and protein, isn’t that a great alternative for growing kids? This sure brings about an equilibrium of health and flavour to the choices on their menu. With an ever-evolving menu, this sure looks like one of the most significant changes for the post-pandemic world, which is all about boosting our health.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Rajeev Ranjan, Chief Operating Officer, McDonald’s India – North and East said, “Through introduction of Fruit bowl, 100% fruit-based juice drink and Calcium & Protein enriched Milkshake in our Happy Meal menu, we are offering food and beverages choices that will enhance the feel good, delicious experience of our Happy Meal customers.
