Fashion designer Masaba Gupta is no less than an inspiration for the current generation. She has not just been changing the landscape of the fashion industry, but also venturing into newer spaces - web series, for instance. So, when Masaba celebrated her 33rd birthday, it had to be special and her friends made sure it was indeed a memorable day.
The fashion entrepreneur turned a year older on November 2, and wishes poured in for her from family, friends, and colleagues from the industry in equal measure. Masaba is known to follow a healthy diet, as she keeps sharing snippets of her daily meals on social media. But her special was all about indulging in what she truly enjoys. She celebrated her birthday with a small gathering of friends, but what caught our attention were the cakes! In a video shared by pastry chef Pooja Dhingra, we could see glimpses of the birthday party that was filled with balloons, lots of food and four decadent-looking cakes. Yes, you read that right – there were not just one or two but four cakes for Masaba.
In the video, we could see her blowing the candles on four wholesome cakes. The two cakes were strawberry-flavoured and made by Pooja herself. While one had a creamy base with freshly cut strawberries on top, the other was made by piling up different-sized doughnuts on top of each other lined with strawberries. "First strawberry cakes of the season are always for Masaba Gupta's birthday", read the caption on the story posted by the pastry chef. Take a look:
The other two cakes for Masaba's birthday looked equally tempting. One seemed to be a chocolate mousse cake with oodles of cocoa powder dusting. The other was a bright coloured pink cake with popcorn decorated on top. ‘Happy Birthday Queen’, the cake read.
