The best way to beat the heat this summer is by zeroing in on a great detox elixir which can help with your digestion. Nutritionist Kiran Kukreja who often shares detox recipes on her social media recently shared a recipe for a detox drink featuring beets, cucumber, mint etc. The drink won’t just help with your gut issues but will also help your skin and overall wellness.
“Beetroots contain antioxidants called betalains, which fight free radicals and promote detoxification. Cucumbers, lemon, mint and sweet limes have vitamins, minerals and hydration which support healthy skin cell function,” Kukreja said on Instagram. Beets can be a functional addition to your summer detox drinks since they also fight inflammation. Here are some great detox drinks featuring beets.
