Kathi Roll

This famous Indian roll originated in Kolkata, West Bengal. With so many varieties, this roll is a favourite among Indians and ranks up there with some of the best Indian street foods. Although there are many variations to kathi roll, the two of the most popular are chicken kathi roll and paneer kathi roll.

Marinated chicken or paneer based on the type is used as the main ingredient and then filled in the flatbread with sliced onions, cucumbers, coriander, grated carrots and more.

Nohut Dürümü

This Turkish speciality combines many delicious ingredients to make one scrumptious wrap. Chickpeas, onions, parsley, lemon juice, bell peppers, paprika and more are all added to this wrap.

The main ingredient of this wrap is undoubtedly the chickpeas which are soaked overnight, boiled and then partially mashed to make it more of a filling in the wrap. This dish is served open or wrapped depending upon the preference of whoever is eating.

Sangchu Ssam

Hailing from South Korea, this wrap could be considered a healthier dish due to lettuces being used as a wrap, which is a major trend in the health industry right now. Ssam basically translates to "wrap" in Korean whereas Sangchu ssam is essentially a lettuce wrap which is usually served with kalbi and bulgogi (Korean BBQ).

Popiah

As it is cooked in a vertical rotisserie oven, shawarma basically cooks itself with its own juice which leads to moist and tender meat.

Doner Kebab

This wrap which is similar to Shawarma is also made with seasoned meat that is cooked on a vertical rotisserie. It's a technique of cooking that dates back to the Ottoman Empire, which is Turkey in the modern day.
