Actress Kajol, who is now garnering plenty of applaud for her role in The Trial celebrated her 49th birthday on August 5—and going by social media images and stories, Kajol’s birthday party was a lavish affair attended by friends, family and a number of cakes including a decadent-looking, ivory white one. Kajol’s birthday party was prominently attended by husband Ajay Devgn, mother Tanuja Chandra and many others.
“This room and this day was filled with so much love and laughter and blessings and all the good things that I can’t even name .. all I can say is that I am Blessed, I am blessed, I am blessed,” Kajol wrote on an Instagram post. “Thank u to all and everyone who loves me.. I felt it yesterday .. from my friends and family to my super awesome fans .. love you right back.”
The beautiful birthday cake Kajol posted about showed her sitting and laughing in the background. The cake itself was a tall, ivory white and gold cake, flavoured with vanilla and hazelnut by the looks of it. The cake, though simple and decadent to look at, was decorated with real flowers—also white in colour. But if you thought that a single cake was all Kajol celebrated her birthday with, then you’d be wrong.
In a now-viral video, Kajol is seen cutting four different cakes with actor Vatsal Sheth, who also shares her birthday! While the video does not show the ivory white cake being cut, there are four more scrumptious cakes—dominated clearly and visibly by chocolate flavours. By the looks of the cakes, one was a tiramisu cake, another tall chocolate cake with fudge-like icing, and two more chocolate-flavoured cakes. Both Kajol and Vatsal Sheth cut the cakes together as their family and friends cheered them on.
As Vatsal Sheth started cutting the cake, Kajol was seen urging everyone around to start singing the birthday song as the duo blew out the candles and cut the cakes. Ajay Devgn and Tanuja were clearly seen in this video cheering on and joining the celebrations. Kajol was seen celebrating her birthday dressed in a beige pantsuit and heels, while Vatsal Sheth wore a green sweatshirt and pants.
