Isn’t it amazing, how sometimes you only need a cup of tea to turn a day around? Tea, or chai, as we call it in India is a beverage made with brewing tea leaves. It may or may not have inclusion of milk, it may or may not be entirely sweet either. Sometimes, we don’t even shy away from adding whole spices to our tea. To cut the long story short, your cup of tea can be anything you want it to be. Kahwa is a Kashmiri tea, which is in fact the subcontinent’s own version of green tea. In addition to the breathtaking scenic beauty, Kashmir is also renowned for its rich culinary heritage that goes back thousands of years. Kahwa is one of the crown jewels of Kashmiri cuisine which is made with a combination of Kashmiri green tea leaves, nuts, dry fruits and saffron. It is traditionally made in a brass kettle known as samovar.
Add the spices, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and saffron.
Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Add the tea, and boil for a few more minutes.
Put off the heat, let the tea infuse.
Add the slivered almonds, mix some honey for taste, and pour it hot.

Method:
