Known for her fun-loving personality, Huma Qureshi is often referred to as ‘kebab royalty’ by her friends. While the Bollywood actor has quite a few critically acclaimed movies to her credit, it is her foodie side that came most prominently in the film, Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana. The plot revolved around discovering a secret chicken recipe of a family.
Recently, the actor was out on a shopping day to beat the Monday blues and what followed after is what tempted us most. Huma was seen indulging in a post-shopping nutrient-dense meal. What was on her plate? There were two boat-shaped bowls kept on the table. One had loads of boiled and tossed green beans. It was topped with crushed peanuts for crunch. In the other bowl, there were fresh lettuce leaves, along with some purple cabbage, sliced avocados, celery leaves, and pomegranate arils.
The 36-year-old actor seemed to be enjoying her day of clean eating after a long shopping spree. Not just this, she also likes indulging in yummy treats like cupcakes. This one time, she posted a story saying that cupcakes led to a happy state of mind for her. The actor belongs to the family of foodies, as her father is a restaurateur and the owner of a successful chain called Saleem’s in Delhi.
Since the love for food runs in the family, it is hard to imagine Huma not being a foodie. In fact, she is going to be next seen on screen, playing the role of the legendary celebrity chef Tarla Dalal in her biopic. We don’t think anyone else would have been able to justify the role more than this foodie actor. Moreover, in a chat show, she reportedly revealed that she likes to live in Mumbai, but finds the food scene there a little ‘sad’. She misses the kebabs and tikkas back home in Delhi and well, now we know why her friends call the OG kebab royalty.
