Mira Kapoor who tied knot with actor Shahid Kapoor in 2015, is certainly more active on Instagram than her husband. She is already emerging as one of the most beloved social media creators, and if you happen to be one of her 3 million followers, you would perhaps know that she is one big food buff. A vegetarian, Mira Rajput also loves to cook herself and visit fancy restaurants in town and abroad. Recently, the 27-year-old went on a girl’s trip with her college BFFs to Dubai. There, Mira tried a host of things, from bungee jumping to ‘dining in the sky’. Since no trip to Dubai is complete without a visit to Burj Khalifa, Mira also went At Top Of The Burj Khalifa, where she enjoyed an exquisite high-tea spread with her friends. On Tuesday, she posted a throwback picture, where she can be seen sipping into a cup of coffee at the Burj Khalifa. The vast skyline of Dubai in the background is as mesmerising as ever. In the next photo, we see strawberry and cream, a dessert that seems to be a favourite of the 27-year-old. Even at her sister-in-law Sanah Kapur’s wedding, Mira couldn’t help but rave about it. The next picture features some fresh-cut fruits like melons and papayas, some ice cream and some juice.

But even at the top of Burj Khalifa, Mira couldn’t help but leave her desi cravings behind. “ Swell time. But what I really love is sev puri”, she wrote in the caption.

For the unversed, Sev Puri, is a Maharashtrian snack, where small, crispy discs or coins made of all-purpose or wheat flour are tossed in chutneys, thin sev, chopped onions, peanuts etc. India sure has a vast and vivid street food fare, but even Dubai is filled with culinary marvels that are sure to delight desi taste buds. Here are some all-time classics you must find in Dubai.

Manakish

Manakish is a thin Middle-eastern bread, which looks a lot like a pizza. It can have a variety of toppings, one of the most traditional topping is that of Zatar (a herby paste made of toasted sesame seeds, sumac, salt and other spices) and cheese. A fine breakfast delicacy you must try.

Kunafa

Kunafa is a middle-Eatsern dessert made with fine semolina noodles. It may or may not comprise cream and pistachios. It is flavoured with rose-scented sugar syrup, addition of pistachios makes this dessert a treasure of flavours and textures,

Falafel

Thought the middle-eastern fare is all things meaty? Think again, falafel is a crispy, deep-fried ball or fritter made with ground chickpeas or broad beans. The Lebanese snack is best enjoyed with pita and hummus.

Baklava

This classic dessert is made with layers of filo sheets that are layered with nuts like pistachios and almonds and sweet fillings. It is soaked in rose-scented sugar syrup, making every bite fragrant and flavourful.
