Plum Ice Cream
Ingredients:
- 500 grams of fresh ripened red plums (deseeded )
- 2 cup whipped cream (heavy cream / double cream)
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
- 1-2 drop of vanilla essence
Method:
- Blend the deseeded plums in the blender until it converts into a smooth thick paste.
- Take a saute pan, pour this mixture into it and cook for 5-7 minutes on medium heat until it starts changing its colour or slightly thickens up. Keep stirring in this step.
- Remove the pan and keep it aside to cool.
- Take a whipped cream in a large bowl. Whip both the mixture until it starts stiff peaks.
- Once you have whipped the mixture of cooked plum and whipped cream, now is the time to add condensed milk, lemon juice (if you’re using it), and vanilla essence.
- Mix thoroughly with the help of a silicone spatula.
- Transfer this mixture to a lidded container. Or, if you don’t have that much large container, you can cover this with cling wrap.
- Refrigerate for 6-7 hours or overnight in the freezer.
